What  Do You Do?

Day Opportunities

Our day opporutnities run on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 10.30 to 3pm each week.

We have some core activities like arts and crafts, pool table, games and puzzles, music, coffee bar, workshops and courses, drama, discos, zumba and fitness, green team recycling, gardening etc

Throughout the year we try to mix things up and offer things like; musical performances, boat trips , picnics, fish and chip lunches,  wellness sessions, bus trips, specialist visitors like Creature Teachers, trips to the local community etc

We are working with Skills and Learning to provide lifeskills courses. Wednesday afternoon is Healthy Lifestyles and Wellbeing and Thursday afternoon is Award In Independant Living Skills.

Every half term we meet with members to discuss what they would like to do in the coming months

Saturdays and off site events

Our Saturday sessions run every other weekend 6 to 8 pm.

We always have a theme to the evening - it might be seasonal such as Easter, Halloween etc, a pool tournament, karaoke, bingo or a quiz, disco or cookery night.

The evening includes drinks for yourself and any carers and a light supper - this might be a burger, a jacket potato, toastie or similar.

This is a drop in session open to all adults with learning disabilities or autism. No need to book, you can just turn up.

Our off site events vary across the year - we might go bowling, to a disco (Limitless organised by Diverse Abilities), for a meal out, to Pride, marching in Christchurch Carnival. Our members Xmas party is our biggest event and in 2025 we will have a buffet, disco and everyone wins raffles at The Kings Arms, Wallisdown.

How much does it cost?

Day Opportunities

Our day opportunities are £38 per session. Drinks and activities are included. Please bring a packed lunch. Drinks for carers are free

Sessions are booked and paid for monthly. This can be paid for from your own finances, via direct payment or commissioned by BCP.

Any adult with a learning disability or related condition such as autism is welcome. We are wheelchair accesible and have a disabled loo with handrail.
